Cards of Hope™ History
Originally, The Pediatric Cancer Care and Research Fund was created in 1991, later the name changed to Cure Kids Cancer Fund. Its mission is to raise funds that benefit the pediatric hematology & oncology team and their patients. The fund supports professional advancement, pediatric cancer research and patient care services.
A committee reviews all requests for fund usage. The money advances the pediatric hematology & oncology team’s mission by providing state-of-the-art research and supportive services that enhance the quality of life of our patients and their families throughout treatment and beyond.
Funds are used for special events like holiday parties, camps, activities/crafts; educational and resource materials; or services to support the care of patients while they are in clinic or during hospitalizations, for example drinks for patients in clinic, new patient handbooks and more.
