Cards of Hope™ Summer Party
Children come to the Cards of Hope™ Summer Party in June to draw the cards. The party is open to children with cancer and their siblings and to children whose brothers or sisters may have passed away. The Cards of Hope™ project has been great therapy for everyone who has participated.
Children who cannot attend the party have card-making materials delivered to them at home or in the hospital. We want to make sure that anyone who wants to participate can.
Once the pictures are collected, a committee of physicians, nurses, and business people throughout the community vote anonymously for their ten favorite pictures. The pictures that receive the greatest number of votes are the ones we use for the cards.
